Kasparas Jakucionis - Starts in exhibition loss Jakucionis tallied 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3PT, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block during Sunday's 91-74 loss against Mississippi in an exhibition game.
Impact Jakucionis saw the most minutes of anyone on Illinois' roster during their exhibition outing against Ole Miss, contributing on both ends of the floor in the contest. The 6-foot-6 freshman was a top-50 prospect in the class of 2024 from Lithuania who looks ready to start at the collegiate level from day one. Coupled with Arizona transfer Kylan Boswell, a steady presence at the point guard position, Jakucionis forms a nice one-two backcourt duo with high upside for the Fighting Illini.

Impact Gibbs-Lawhorn saw 22 minutes of action off the bench in his first look with the Fighting Illini ahead of the 2024-25 season, making the most of his opportunity. The 6-foot-1 sophomore, who averaged 2.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists on just 7.1 minutes per game last season (28 games), looks primed for a massive uptick in production with Illinois this season.

Impact Ivisic is a 7-foot-1, 255-pound center wanting to begin his NCAA career as part of Illinois' 2024-25 team. However, he is one of several international transfers dealing with the NCAA's eligibility criteria. At the very least, Ivisic being available for Illinois' upcoming exhibition confirms some possibility he can be cleared before the Fighting Illini begin their regular season. There will be just under two weeks for the NCAA to clear him before the Illini host Eastern Illinois for their season opener on Nov. 4.
