Connor McCaffery - To serve as sixth man Iowa coach Fran McCaffery told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that Connor McCaffery would operate in a sixth-man/utility role to start the 2021-22 season. Impact Even though Connor has started all 62 games for the Hawkeyes over the past two seasons, a switch in roles appears to be on tap. His minutes had already been on the decline, dropping just over 7 mpg between his junior and senior seasons, resulting in a decrease in each major counting stat. Connor's brother Patrick is expected to remain a starter, as will North Dakota transfer Filip Rebraca. Rounding out the projected starting five is a trio of returnees in Keegan Murray, Jordan Bohannon and Joe Toussaint, though the team is expected to run a very deep rotation.
