Curtis Jones - Seamlessly fills inJones produced 17 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, four assists and seven steals over 33 minutes during Saturday's 73-72 win over TCU.ImpactIowa State has a strong argument that they have the best collection of do-it-all guards in the country. Jones started his first game of the season, filling in for the injured Tamin Lipsey, and the Cyclones didn't miss a beat. Jones posted a career-high seven steals while combining with backcourt-mate Keshon Gilbert to score just over 50% of the team's 73 points. Jones is typically the first man off the bench, but has proven when given the opportunity that despite playing third fiddle to Lipsey and Gilbert, he can produce when given the opportunity. The talented sixth man has scored double figures in points six times, posted 11 outings with three or more rebounds, eight with at least three assists and has seven games with three or more steals. As long as Lipsey remains sidelined, Jones has the capability to be a big-time producer for both Iowa State and fantasy lineups.
