Sets NCAA steals mark In recording a steal Sunday at Northern Iowa, Gilyard became the NCAA's All-Time leader in steals, passing John Linehan with 386 thefts in his career. Impact Gilyard finished the game with eight points, four assists, three boards and his record-setting theft. Gilyard has played 126 games in his career, comparable to Linehan's 122, but with this extra year granted, he's going to sail way past this number and likely set a mark unattainable by others. The fifth-year senior is averaging 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 3.1 steals on the season, number that are well in line with his career marks.
