Starts in exhibition game Brakefield started and played well in Mississippi's exhibition game against West Georgia.

Impact Brakefield played the second-most minutes on the court for the Rebels, and certainly made the most of them. He scored 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while grabbing eight rebounds. The former Duke Blue Devil is in line to start at the five for the Rebels this season.

Despite the demotion, Brakefield should still be good for 15-20 minutes of playing time as he resorts to a backup role again.
