Impact Hill will get the start for UNLV after suffering a season-ending injury in January. The 6-foot-6 senior started in seven games last season, averaging 10.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals on 29.9 minutes per game. Hill got out to a fast start last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury, and now it's time to see what the senior has left in the tank.

Impact UNLV's 2024-25 team began its preseason practice Monday. Despite more than eight months passing since he suffered his knee injury, Hill sat out Monday. But with him dressed, perhaps the redshirt senior is inching closer to being available. Fortunately for him, there is still more than a month before the 2024-25 Rebels begin their regular season.

Spotted on crutches Hill was spotted using crutches to get around after leaving Saturday's game and may be done for the day, Mike Grimala of the Las Vegas Sun reports.

Impact On a positive note, Hill has returned to the bench, which is better than if he couldn't do that. Despite that, the fact that Hill needs crutches to get around suggests the injury is a new one and unrelated to the wrist issue that cost him some time previously. The extent of his new issue is unclear at this juncture, but Hill registered six points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal prior to his departure.

Impact Hill took part in warmups but wasn't initially listed in the starting unit. The updated starting five includes the senior, who is averaging 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 32.5 minutes in his six appearances this season for the Runnin' Rebels.

Head coach Kevin Kruger said "we'll see" about Hill being available, making it a safe bet to assume him questionable for Saturday.

Impact Hill logged his worst scoring performance of the season outside of when he failed to put up any points in the season opener versus Sam Houston. The 6-foot-6 senior was still able to salvage Saturday's outing by continuing to crash the boards while also registering once of his more productive defensive performances of the 2022-23 campaign. Hill has now averaged 10.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks per game this season. He'll look to recover from this disappointing shooting performance when Oklahoma heads to Kansas State on Wednesday.

Hill has now finished with double-digit points in six of the last nine games. His 5.7 rebounds per game this season makes Hill a near-comparable fantasy option to Sooners center Tanner Groves.
