Impact Cain has completely dropped off since the beginning stages of the season. The forward has been extremely inconsistent and has only eclipsed double-digits in points once in his past six appearances (five of them being starts). The senior is struggling to land his shots all over the court and he is not making up for it in other areas of the game. There are much better options available.

Impact Cain exited Saturday's loss to UConn after taking a shot to the face and didn't return. However, the senior forward has gained clearance and will take the floor Tuesday. Through 24 games this year, he's averaged 9.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

Impact Cain got hit in the face with a little under five minutes remaining in Saturday's game and did not end up returning after he needed assistance getting off the court. There hasn't been any follow-up on his condition but it could be assumed that the 6-7 senior suffered a potential concussion. Marquette has two more games before the Big East Tournament gets underway so it'll be interesting to see whether Cain is able to return for either of those or not.

Impact Cain returned to the starting rotation after coming off the bench against Butler and was rather disappointing. The forward has been a solid producer all over the court this season, but has not made himself at home in any specific area. Cain however did not manage to provide here and went an awful 25 percent in his eight total attempts from the floor. Over his past four matches he is averaging 7.75 points and 7.25 rebounds through 28.25 minutes. Until he can find consistency again, he is a hard pass.

Impact Cain had started each of the previous 21 games for Marquette this season, but it's unclear if him coming off the bench was a strategic move, or to feign some kind of punishment. In any case, the senior ended up logging more minutes than any Marquette starter outside of D.J. Carton en route to his second double-double of the season. Given that this was Cain's best performance of Big East play, it wouldn't be shocking to see this alignment continue when the Golden Eagles face UConn in a road matchup Saturday.
