Opts out of 2020-21 season Omersa announced Sunday that he'll opt out of the remainder of the 2020-21 season, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Omersa has played a minimal role for the Gophers in recent contests, and he'll elect to sit out the remainder of the season amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. If he returns to Minnesota next year, it's unclear whether he'll see an uptick in usage after starting just one game over his first three seasons with the team.
