Duke and Baylor square off in second round of NCAA Tournament

Impact Nunn drained 4-of-6 from beyond the arc to post 18 points during Wednesday's much-needed conference-tournament victory. It was the first time Nunn has scored more than 12 points since prior to the start of the conference season. Nunn plays a vital role off the bench for the Bears and if they are to fully turn things around in the postseason, he'll be needed to provide a spark.

Impact Nunn was questionable leading up to the game as he dealt with an illness but was able to give it a go. The senior guard will look to build on this performance for Saturday's meeting with Oklahoma St.

Impact Nunn did not play during Baylor's game Saturday at Colorado. Rothstein's update indicates the collegiate senior may log another DNP on Tuesday. Before then, Nunn's last game include his 10 points and two steals against Arizona.

Impact Nunn has yet to miss a game this season, but that seems slated to change against Colorado. He's reportedly dealing with a sickness that threatens to hold him out Saturday, and in all likelihood will. Nunn averages 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals this season.

Impact Nunn will shift back to the bench as VJ Edgecombe returns to action. The 6-foot-4, who is averaging 9.5 points, three rebounds, 1.9 assists and one steal on 30.8 minutes per game, should remain involved for the Bears against the Golden Knights.

Impact Nunn was perfect on all four attempts from long range on his way to a team-high 18 points during Monday's win. It was the fourth time Nunn has connected on at least four triples this season. The senior guard has had a bit of an up and down offensive season through nine games, scoring 16 or more four times while posting eight of fewer points on three occasions. In total, Nunn is shooting 52.9 percent on 51 attempts from three, averaging 12.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals across 30.0 minutes per contest.

Impact Nunn exploded on Tuesday with an efficient performance, shooting 66.7% both from the field and from behind the arc. The 27 points are a total he's topped only once previously in his career--a 31-point effort last year for VCU--while the 12 shot attempts from the field, six threes and nine attempted threes each represented a season high. The junior win also added three steals on the defensive end which represented his highest total in over a month. Nunn is a capable scorer as he's proven periodically this year with six performances of 15 or more points and a shooting percentage from three of more than 40%. Nunn is averaging a career-high in scoring (9.7), rebounds (2.6), assists (2.2), field-goal percentage (45.0%), made three-pointers per game (1.2) and three-point percentage (40.9%), all despite playing a career-low 26.5 minutes per contest.
