Day-to-day Stone (upper body) will be sidelined for "a period of time" according to head coach Darian DeVries, Ryan Decker of Gold and Blue Nation reports. Impact Stone, who joined the Mountaineers earlier this offseason, and has been categorized as day-to-day as the result of an upper-body injury. The 6-foot-4 senior was a monster with Detroit Mercy last season, averaging 20.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals on 36 minutes per game. Stone's status for West Virginia's season opener against Robert Morris next Monday remains in question, but should Stone ultimately be unavailable for the contest, Sencire Harris and Joseph Yesufu should see expanded roles against an inferior opponent.
