Impact Carey has been very solid coming off the bench for the Commodores in recent weeks. The forward averages 14.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals over the last five games, and the loss to Kentucky was another valiant effort. Highly efficient evening vs. Gators Carey had 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 22 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 86-75 loss to Florida.
Impact Carey shot 7-of-9 from the field and pulled down five boards, but the Commodores still lost comfortably against a deep and talented Florida team. Carey remains instrumental for Vanderbilt off the bench, however, and he's played well as of late; since the new calendar year, he's shooting an even 50 percent from the field.
