First career double-double Furphy supplied 23 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 11 rebounds and two steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 74-69 win over Cincinnati. Impact Furphy led the Jayhawks in scoring, combining with the rest of the starters to score 72 of the team's 74 points on the night. The talented freshman has started the last four games, improving in each and culminating with the first double-double of his career Monday. Perhaps more importantly, on a night Hunter Dickinson struggled with foul trouble, Furphy showed that he has the capability to step up and fill the void. Prior to three games ago, Furphy had not played more than 20 minutes. However over the last three, he's averaging 33.3 minutes per contest with 17.0 points and 8.3 rebounds on 61.5% shooting from the field, which includes three treys per game at a 52.9% clip.
