Career day in Purdue upset Davis recorded a career-high 37 points (13-24 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-12 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 74-69 win over Purdue. Impact Davis is looking more and more like an All-American each time he hits the court, and unfortunately for Badgers fans, the likelihood of an early exit for the pro ranks appears to be increasing. On Monday, Davis took a team that has historically struggled at Mackey Arena and simply put them on his back. Three key Badger forwards fouled out of the contest against one of the best frontcourts in the nation, but it didn't matter because Davis kept making shots. He attempted (and made) more than twice as many field goals as any other Badger player, with Brad Davison the only other teammate to reach double figures. Davis was active on the glass on both ends of the court, and he even had one of the most athletic looking blocks you'll ever see on a breakaway dunk attempt in the second half. The Badgers weren't even considered a tournament team at the beginning of the season, but the play of Davis alone has elevated them to a squad that could win multiple games in March.
