Impact Schakel limited to just 18 minutes last week against Boise State due to back troubles but appeared to be his regular self in this one. With the victory, the Aztecs were able to clinch the Mountain West regular season title and will carry an 11-game winning streak into the conference tournament. Schakel's outside shooting has been a major reason why, as he leads the MWC in three-pointers made (71) and three-point percentage (46.4 percent).

Impact Despite popping up on the injury report with a lower-back issue, Schakel will make his usual appearance in the starting lineup Wednesday. It's unclear if he'll see any decrease in minutes due to his condition, but his place in the starting lineup is an encouraging sign he'll see close to a normal role. On the season, the senior is averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists over 28.1 minutes per game.
