Fills in for Penn with 36 Yesufu had a career-high 36 points (11-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 9-10 FT) to go along with five rebounds and two blocks across 40 minutes in Monday's 74-63 victory over Evansville. Impact Yesufu had been a largely inconsistent scorer through the first few months of the season, but then he put up 20 points against UNI on Feb. 17, followed by a 32-point showing Sunday against Evansville. The sophomore then drew his first career start Monday and cashed in his best game yet. The shift in roles does come on a bit of a somber note, however, as it was announced Monday that point guard and second-leading scorer roman Penn (11.2 ppg, 5.5 apg) would miss the rest of the season due to a foot injury. With leading scorer ShanQuan Hemphill also set to miss a month due to a foot injury of his own, the Bulldogs -- once considered a lock for an at-large tournament bid -- will be severely short-handed entering March.
