Done for season Blacksher will miss the remainder of the season after he suffered a torn ACL in Grand Canyon's 72-68 win over Sam Houston State on Jan. 5, Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports. Impact The loss of Blacksher, the Western Athletic Conference's Preseason Player of the Year, is a devastating blow to the Antelopes, who are eyeing their second straight NCAA tournament appearance. Blacksher, a fourth-year junior, will have one final year of eligibility to use in 2023-24 if the NCAA doesn't grant him a medical hardship exemption for his injury-shortened 2022-23 campaign. He averaged 11.5 points, 2.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 29.6 minutes per game over his first 11 outings before sustaining the knee injury.
