Looks good in exhibition Powell (concussion) had 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two assists and two rebounds across 14 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 103-62 exhibition victory over Lenior-Rhyne. Impact Powell missed the final 17 games of his freshman season with Auburn due to concussion complications, and little has been reported this offseason outside of his in-conference transfer to Tennessee. His presence in a relatively low-stakes exhibition suggests those troubles are in the past, and he even appears to be in good form as the third-leading scorer and second-leading reserve. Five-star freshman Kennedy Chandler undoubtedly has the point guard position locked down to start the year, but the Vols will be in good hands if they ever need to turn to Powell in 2021-22.
