ImpactKunc sat out injured from Dec. 31 to Jan. 30, so it is unsurprising that he seemed limited during his first game of 2023. The question is how Iowa State will use him. Kunc was a regular part of the Cyclones' starting frontcourt before Gabe Kalscheur replaced him. However, Kalscheur's point average is 16.7 across his fifth year. It will not be easy to select what role Kunc gets in between February and April, if they even go that far.

ImpactOsunniyi saw sporadic playing through the first three months of the season despite starting every game for Iowa State. However, the 6-foot-10 senior has now played at least 23 minutes in each of the last six contests. This has also translated into increased production, as Ossuniyi averaged 11.5 points and 5.2 rebounds while hitting 62.2 percent of his 7.5 field-goal attempts per game during this time. The St. Bonaventure transfer will look to continue this consistent production Wednesday against West Virginia.
