Impact This certainly wasn't Smith's best game, but it was still a decent effort to try to help Kansas State to a road win. Smith continues to pace the Big 12 in rebounding at 8.5 per game. The Wildcats will close out the regular season against Oklahoma on Saturday.

Impact Miguel got the start with Markquis Nowell out with an undisclosed issue. He ended up posting one of his better games of the season in a hard fought road effort against Texas Tech. If Nowell returns on Saturday against Oklahoma, Miguel will likely come off the bench again.

Mike McGuirl - Season-high 18 points in loss McGuirl ended Monday's 73-68 loss to Texas Tech with 18 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 40 minutes.

Impact McGuril's 18 points were a season high for the senior. He played all 40 minutes, but it just wasn't quite enough to pull out a road win. After a slow start to the season, McGuirl is starting to trend in the right direction as Kansas State hopes to make a late push for an NCAA Tournament bid. Over the last four games he is putting up 12.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.8 three-pointers, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest. The Wildcats close the regular season with Oklahoma on Saturday.

Impact Pack had reportedly been dealing with a thigh bruise before the game, but that hardly appeared to have any effect as the sophomore guard put up his second-best scoring total of the season. It was unfortunately not enough to stave off the home defeat, leaving Pack and the Wildcats riding a three-game losing streak and well outside the tournament bubble.

Impact Massoud will start for the first time since Jan. 25 after beginning the first half of the season in a starting role.
