Mark Smith - Outstanding rebounding daySmith registered 25 points (7-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 16 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 39 minutes during Saturday's 71-69 loss to Oklahoma.
ImpactSmith has always been a capable rebounder, but it's not every day you see a 6-4 player pulling in an average of 8.6 boards per contest from the backcourt. That's been the case for the Missouri transfer, who already has five double-digit rebounding performances on the year. He showed Saturday that when the shots are falling, a stellar fantasy day is the result. He did get some help by the fact the Sooners were missing some frontcourt players due to COVID protocol, but it was still a noteworthy effort to play one of the conference's top teams to just a two-point loss on the road.
