Impact Johnson aided the Tigers' offensive attack by dropping at least 13 points for a third straight matchup. Since recording just two points against South Carolina on Jan. 4, the sophomore is averaging 16.7 points across 48.5 percent overall shooting.

Impact Johnson was held in single digits offensively for a third time across the past four outings, as the guard has cooled down significantly after a hot start. Across his first nine outings, Johnson averaged 15.1 points and shot 41.0 percent. Now throughout his previous four performances, the sophomore is posting just 7.8 points on 34.5 percent overall shooting.

Leads Tigers in 2OT loss Johnson produced 27 points (7-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 11-16 FT), one assist and five steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 115-109 2OT loss to UConn.

Impact While the two overtime periods certainly helped his stat line, Johnson has now elevated to Auburn's leading scorer at 18.0 ppg. He's also been incredibly helpful in the steals category for rotisserie players, recording two or more in each of Auburn's first four contests, even when coming off the bench. While it's unclear what Bruce Pearl will do with his starting lineup moving forward, it's possible Johnson has overtaken Wendell Green for the time being, though Green did log 19 points across 33 minutes in this contest.

His next chance to take the court is a relatively soft matchup against Louisiana-Monroe on Friday.

Impact Johnson is the only widely-ranked recruit in the Georgia freshman class, and he also owns a consensus four-star rating. While he's a point guard by trade, the Bulldogs have Sahvir Wheeler on hand to man the position, so it's possible that when eligible, Johnson could see time at multiple spots in the backcourt. Coach Tom Crean remains optimistic that Johnson will eventually be available this season, and did clarify that this situation "is not an amateurism issue." With that in mind, it's likely prudent to consider Johnson questionable at best for Friday's contest against Jacksonville.
