Jayden Quaintance - Potential return Saturday Head coach Mark Pope indicated that Quaintance (knee) could make his season debut for Kentucky during Saturday's matchup against St. John's, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Quaintance has yet to make an appearance with the Wildcats due to recovery from an ACL tear in the offseason, but he appears to be nearing a return to action. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 9.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a freshman with Arizona State last season and was expected to be a contributor for the Wildcats heading into this year. While Pope is hopeful for his return on Saturday, nothing appears to be set in stone just yet, leaving him as a game-time decision.

Impact Quaintance continues to work his way back from an offseason ACL tear, but he appears to be nearing a return. When asked about the sophomore's timetable, head coach Mark Pope said, "We're down to days and hours - maybe a week or so, in there - not weeks and months". Pope went on to hint for a return against Bellarmine on Dec. 23, and that St. John's is not out of the question as well. Quaintance is expected to play a significant role for Kentucky when he is able to make his debut.

Impact Kentucky coach Mark Pope was starting to see some consistency in his starting lineup, using the same five players over the last four games, but he switched things up again Tuesday. Noah ended up with his second starting nod of the year in place of Kam Williams, who was held to just two points across 13 minutes in the contest. Noah, meanwhile, saw a season-high minutes total, while matching his season-best rebounding total and putting up his second most points of the year. The health of fellow wing Mouhamed Dioubate (ankle) will play a role in Noah's short-term outlook, but at least for now, we can surmise that the sophomore has earned back a bit of coach Pope's trust.

Impact Since taking over the starting center job from Brandon Garrison back on Nov. 21, Moreno has averaged 10.0 points and 7.4 rebounds across 26.0 minutes, all while shooting a highly respectable 62.5 percent from the field. Kentucky has been looking for an answer at center with prized recruit Jayden Quaintance still recovering from a knee injury, and with recent reports surfacing that Quaintance is not close to returning, it looks like that answer will be Moreno for the foreseeable future.
