Leading reserve in debut Elvis had 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four assists, two rebounds and one steal across 27 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's victory over Western Illinois. Impact Elvis and forward Keon Edwards are the only scholarship players in this season's class, and it looks like Elvis may be getting groomed as the heir apparent at point guard to senior Charlie Moore. DePaul was missing five key players in the opener, and that may affect the playing time of reserves like Elvis moving forward, but it appears the freshman will be a strong rotation piece as long as the team is short-handed.
