Returning to Champaign Cockburn made the decision Saturday to withdraw his name from the 2020 NBA Draft and return to Illinois for his sophomore season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports. Impact Cockburn was the 2019-20 Big Ten Freshman of the Year while averaging 13.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game. After not being projected in many mocks to be selected in this year's NBA Draft, Cockburn will return to Illinois and join an incredibly talented roster with the likes of Ayo Dosunmu, Trent Frazier and two incoming top-50 recruits. A very powerful 7-footer, Cockburn has the ability to be a force on both ends of the court and will be counted on to help guide the Illini to their first National Championship appearance since 2005.
