Hot and cold start in 2024 Philon totaled 15 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Saturday's 83-81 loss to Oregon.
Impact Philon's 2024 season has been something, namely because there's no telling just how much or how little he'll impact the game night in and night out. The guard has scored as many as 18 points but also as few as one; naturally, that season-high in points came in the one game he didn't start. His minutes have also fluctuated from as many as 32 to as few as 12. Alabama head coach Nate Oats is still clearly tinkering with his exact rotations, but regardless, Philon figures to be a crucial piece of the puzzle in Tuscaloosa.

Coming off the bench vs. Purdue Philon will come off the bench for Alabama's clash with Purdue, Mike Rodak of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Philon has started all three games for the Crimson Tide, averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals. Still, he'll be relegated to the bench for a huge showdown with the Boilermakers.

Starts in exhibition Philon started and had 13 points (4-10 FG< 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 26 minutes in an exhibition matchup against Wake Forest on Oct. 18.
Impact With Chris Youngblood (ankle) out until December and Latrell Wrightsell limited by an undisclosed injury (but expected to play in a limited capacity), it appears Philon has a chance to enter the enter the starting five and produce early. The four-star freshman knows how to score, as he averaged 35 ppg at Baker/Link Academy and 11.7 ppg in the EYBL Scholastic League. Given the other backcourt injuries, Philon could serve as a secondary scoring option to projected to scorer Mark Sears.
