ImpactCork got the start against this non-conference opponent after coming off the bench in but two of his 33 games played last year. With guard Damion Baugh serving a suspension to open the 2022-23 campaign, the 6-foot-9 junior forward was inserted into the starting frontcourt alongside Emanuel Miller and Charles O'Bannon. Cork could once again see relatively significant playing time if TCU continues to tinker with its starting lineup against Northwestern State on Monday.

Shahada Wells - Plays big role againWells accumulated 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals over 29 minutes during Friday's 77-66 victory over Lamar.
ImpactWells played at least 27 minutes for the second game in a row Friday, as starting guard Damion Baugh has been suspended so far in the 2022-23 campaign due to his temporary entrance into the 2022 NBA Draft. While the senior guard did not start against Lamar, he still tied with forward Emanuel Miller for the Bears' lead in assists. Wells should once again play a prominent role if Baugh remains out Monday against Northwestern State.

Damion Baugh - Out again FridayBaugh (suspension) will not be available for Friday's game versus Lamar, Steven Johnson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ImpactBaugh is still trying to get cleared from a suspension he was handed for temporarily entering the 2022 NBA Draft and signing with an uncertified agent. It has not been revealed when he could possibly first see the floor this year. Shahada Wells got the start in the opener and figures to hold down that role until Baugh is able to return.
