McNeeley, a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, is still doing pool work, and he doesn't have a return date yet. He's scheduled to be back at some point before the end of the current month after sustaining the injury in the 81-68 win over DePaul on Jan. 2.

As a potential first-round pick, McNeeley could take ample time to return to ensure nothing more comes of the issue. At a minimum, he'll likely a few weeks, as Hurley suggested the end of January as a possible best-case scenario. In the meantime, the Huskies will be without a centerpiece to the offense. McNeeley has averaged 13.6 points, 5.8 boards and 2.6 assists over 30.6 minutes per game this year, which will be difficult to replace.

Expected to miss at least one game Coach Dan Hurley said Wednesday that McNeeley (ankle) isn't likely to play in Sunday's game against Providence, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact McNeeley sustained the injury in the second half of Wednesday's 81-68 win over DePaul and was spotted wearing a walking boot on the bench. He logged nine points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 25 minutes before exiting. Hurley expressed optimism McNeeley wouldn't be out for an extended period but it appears the Huskies will be without the star freshman against the Friars.
