ImpactMurray saw plenty of playing time in Tuesday's blowout win, and he scored in double figures while shooting 77.8 percent from the floor. Although Tuesday's performance was encouraging, he averaged just 0.6 points in 3.0 minutes per game in 13 appearances off the bench last year.

ImpactMurray shot 80 percent from the floor in Tuesday's opener and led the Hawkeyes on the scoreboard despite playing just 17 minutes. The sophomore logged just four starts last year but is in line to serve as the starting center to begin the season since Luka Garza graduated following the 2020-21 campaign.

ImpactAccording to JohnBohnenkamp of IowaCollegeHoops.com, McCaffery limped off the court at one point with what appeared to be a left ankle injury. He walked off to the locker room under his own power before later returning to the bench. Set to serve as a sixth-man in 2021-22, it's unclear how much McCaffery will be utilized in Friday's matchup against UMKC.

ImpactWilkins' status for this season was up in the air, given that he was a multi-time transfer. The 6-4 senior spent two seasons at Virginia Tech and then played for Wake Forest last year before coming over to Longwood. Wilkins is no stranger to Power-Five opponents and will likely be the driving force of the offense for the first time in his career.
