Hangs 32 on LSUPerkins erupted for 32 points (10-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT) Saturday against LSU, adding five assists and three rebounds.
ImpactPerkins is seeing a huge basket to open the year, including a combined 8-13 from 3-point range through two games. We saw how well he could score off the bench last season, and the move to the starting lineup as a senior won't really alter his minutes. He's just a top nightly option for a very sound Billiken's team.

DNP against LSUFrench (concussion) did not see the court Saturday against LSU.
ImpactFrench is in concussion protocol, so it's not too surprising to see last season's leading rebounding sidelined another contest. What's impressive is that the Bllikens were still able to pick up a big non-conference resume booster and even out-rebounded the Tigers 30-to-22 in the contest. iThere should be plenty of time for French to get clearance prior to the next scheduled game, which is currently Dec. 5 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He'll be a big addition to a team that seems to have the makings of an Atlantic 10 champion.

Waiver deniedLeBlanc did not receive a waiver for immediate eligibility from the NCAA to begin the 2020-21 season, Bill Embody of 247 Sports reports.
ImpactWhile LeBlanc won't get to take the court immediately for the 1-1 Tigers, he should be back in mid-December after the first semester of school ends at LSU. The 6-7 forward made a big impact in his freshman year at Georgetown with 9.1 points and 7.3 rebounds, but only made it six games into his sophomore after accusations of harassment and burglary accelerated his departure from the program. It seems unlikely LeBlanc would pry a starting role from Trendan Watford or Darius Day when he's eligible to do so, but he'll still provide a major boost to the frontcourt depth of the Tigers.
