Huge game in season opener Kidd racked up 24 points (10-11 FG, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and one steal across 26 minutes during Monday's 113-72 victory over FDU.

Impact Kidd couldn't have wished for a better debut with Miami, missing just one shot from the field and ending just one rebound away from a double-double. Given that he was one of three Miami players who logged more than 25 minutes in this game, it seems Kidd will be a regular in the Hurricanes' frontcourt after transferring from Virginia Tech in the offseason.

Impact Kidd recorded his first double-double since Dec. 21, but aside from that, he also tied his season-high mark for rebounds in a single game this season. Kidd has now scored in double digits in five of his last seven appearances, a span in which he's averaging 10.6 points with 6.6 rebounds per contest.

Impact Kidd needed 15 shots to score 14 points, but his volume of work on offense meant he still posted a decent stat line once it was all said and done during a 23-point defeat. Kidd has been one of the few productive players for Virginia Tech this season. He has scored in double digits in five outings in a row, and he was also coming off back-to-back double-doubles before this matchup in which he wasn't particularly active on the glass.

Impact In terms of fantasy output, Kidd did not do much. Though the seven-footer Kyle Filipowski logged a double-double, it was not enough as the Hokies' pushed forward on offense to defeat Duke on Monday. Their next game is when they host Syracuse on Saturday. The Orangemen do have a talented center in Jesse Edwards, so there is a chance Kidd could start again during their weekend game.
