Logs 20 minutes off bench Austin (personal) did not attempt a field goal but had a rebound, a steal and missed both of his free throws during Saturday's 79-72 loss to Richmond.

Impact Austin stepped away from the team in early January for personal reasons and missed eight straight games as a result. He was actually only away for about a week and has been practicing since Jan. 17 but head coach Keith Dambrot was adamant that he wasn't going to rush Austin back to game action. The 6-5 sophomore was a starter earlier in the year but appears to be positioned to come off the bench for the time being.

In uniform for warmups Austin (personal) is in uniform for warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Richmond, Noah Goldberg of ESPN Richmond reports.

Impact Austin hasn't seen the floor since Jan. 5 for personal reasons, but it looks like he may be ready to retake the floor for the Dukes. The sophomore is averaging 4.8 points and 4.8 boards over 21.5 minutes in his four appearances this season and should retake a significant role when he's in game shape.

Impact Austin returned to practice this week after taking some time off for personal reasons. Duquesne plays on Wednesday against Rhode Island, but with the way coach was talking there doesn't seem like there's a great chance he suits up for that. Next Wednesday's game against Fordham is probably more likely.

Back at practice Austin (personal) rejoined the team for Sunday's practice but is still unlikely to play Wednesday against Rhode Island, Jerry DiPaola of TribLive.com reports.

Impact Austin took a leave of absence from the team last weekend due to personal reasons and missed the last three games as a result. He was able to rejoin the team Sunday however head coach Keith Dambrot said he probably won't play in Wednesday's upcoming game. Austin has started all four games he's in played this season but Dambrot plans to ease him back into the rotation before giving him his normal dose of minutes.

Impact Sincere Carry has also left the program indefinitely for undisclosed reasons, and the two will not play Saturday against Fordham. This leaves the the Dukes thin in the backcourt, as the team was already without junior Lamar Norman, who entered the transfer portal Jan. 5. Tavian Dunn-Martin and Tyson Acuff will be tasked with picking up the slack for the foreseeable future.

Impact Austin missed a game in early December with reported flu-like symptoms and the team hasn't played in a month so there hasn't been any word of how his recovery has been. It appears Austin is doing just fine and will return to the starting lineup after posting five points, four rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes during the opener against Arkansas-Little Rock.
