Lights up Huskers with 35 Branham totaled 35 points (13-19 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes during Sunday's 87-79 OT win over Nebraska. Impact Branham had been averaging 6.3 ppg in the 10 games prior to Sunday and was even held scoreless in his last outing against Wisconsin, so it's not a stretch to say this performance came out of nowhere. He converted six three-point attempts here after never hitting multiple threes in any prior single game this season. The performance was needed too, as top player E.J. Liddell struggled to the tune of 2-for-14 from the field. While this effort might give Branham the green light to shoot a bit more often, a repeat performance would be a tall ask, especially with four road Big Ten matchups up next on the schedule.
