Donovan Clingan spins and two-hand dunks the ball to extend UConn's lead over Manhattan

Donovan Clingan - Rounding into formClingan notched 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and one block across 18 minutes during Friday's 90-60 win over Manhattan.
ImpactIt hasn't been the breakout many fantasy managers were expecting out of Clingan this season, as he battled a foot injury early on and is ceding more minutes than expected to backup center Samson Johnson (who actually logged more time on the floor than Clingan on Friday). Nonetheless, it's far too early for the "bust" tag, as Clingan has still started every game for the undefeated Huskies and posted more-than-respectable averages of 12.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. Look for UConn to rely more heavily on the big man as the level of competition rises, which is set to happen in a big way in December. The Huskies have Kansas, North Carolina and Gonzaga on the schedule next month before tipping off Big East play.

Tristen Newton - Records triple-double FridayNewton accumulated 15 points (4-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 13 assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Friday's 90-60 win over Manhattan.
ImpactNewton's all-around production makes him a triple-double threat each time he takes the court -- it's a feat he achieved twice last season in games against Buffalo and Marquette. He's an excellent rebounder despite seeing the majority of his minutes at point guard, as the fifth-year senior has pulled down and impressive 7.8 rpg through six games in 2023-24. Newton is also on pace for career highs in assists (6.8 apg) and shooting percentage (46.6), making him a sleeper Player of the Year candidate and arguably the best fantasy asset in the Big East.
