Planning for VCU return Shulga plans to return to VCU for the team's 2024-25 season, per Jeff Neiburg of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Impact On May 3, Shulga committed to Villanova, indicating that he would transfer there from VCU this summer. But just under three weeks later, he has withdrawn his commitment, with a return to the Rams' basketball program being his reason. By returning, Shulga and Zeb Jackson can re-establish themselves as VCU's primary backcourt, which has worked for the former. After all, he finished his 2023-24 season having averaged 14.0 points and 2.3 three-pointers made across 37 games started.

Impact The junior has a much needed 15 point game as he has shown a cold streak shooting just 33.3 percent from the field in his last two games played. That wasn't a problem Saturday however, shooting 75.0 percent from the field and making two of four three point shots. Expect Shulga to continue his high level of play moving forward.
