Impact Pack was the leading scorer for a Miami team that cruised to a 24-point win, but he also excellent in the assists department, where he was the leader as well. Pack should be one of Miami's most reliable offensive options all season long if he stays healthy.

Impact Kidd couldn't have wished for a better debut with Miami, missing just one shot from the field and ending just one rebound away from a double-double. Given that he was one of three Miami players who logged more than 25 minutes in this game, it seems Kidd will be a regular in the Hurricanes' frontcourt after transferring from Virginia Tech in the offseason.

Impact After starting all 29 nine games he appeared in for Miami in 2023-24 Cleveland was cleared to play early but came off the bench -- a clear sign he wasn't at 100 percent. He still logged a comparable minutes total to the starters and was efficient from a shooting standpoint, so he's likely not far away from greater production. He now has nearly a full week to rest up before Miami takes on Binghamton, and barring any setbacks, a return to the starting five should be on the table.

Impact Cleveland was questionable ahead of the Hurricanes' opener, but appears to be good to go. The forward is in line for a big year in Coral Gables after averaging 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals last season.

Kiree Huie - Out indefinitely Huie (hand) is set to miss an unspecified period of time after sustaining a hand injury earlier this month, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Huie will not appear in the Hurricanes' exhibition game against Saint Leo on Wednesday, and it is unclear when he will return to action. The 6-foot-9 senior, who transferred in from Idaho State, averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.2 blocks on 26.8 minutes per game. With Huie (hand) out indefinitely, and Matthew Cleveland (undisclosed) questionable for Miami's opener against FDU, the Hurricanes will have to rely on less proven options in the frontcourt to start the season.

Impact Currently, an undisclosed problem is affecting Cleveland's availability. The update indicates he will likely sit out Miami's exhibition game against Saint Leo on Wednesday, giving him no game time to prepare for when the regular season begins on Nov. 4.
