No word of an injury has surfaced regarding Blackmon's absence Saturday, but with the Canes losing 14 of 15 games and headed for a complete rebuild, it's anyone's guess what might be happening behind the scenes.

There simply isn't a reliable secondary scoring option with Nijel Pack sidelined indefinitely by a foot injury, which allows opposing defenses to key in on Cleveland.
