Michigan State finds respite on court after heart-wrenching week
Jett Howard - Sustains injury SaturdayHoward appeared to suffer a right ankle injury that limited him to just 23 minutes played during Saturday's 84-72 win over Michigan State, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ImpactHoward was also tended to on the Wolverines' bench after he hobbled off the court with this apparent injury, though it's unclear if he was ever able to return to Sunday's contest. Michigan coach Juwan Howard also said postgame that he did not yet have any updates on the 6-foot-8 forward's status, according to Tony Garcia of The Detroit Free Press. The freshman has been the team's second-leading scorer this season with 14.4 points per game. He's also far and away led the team in three-point tries per contest (7.2), though he is only shooting 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. Nevertheless, it will be worth monitoring for additional updates on Howard's ankle heading into Thursday's game versus Rutgers.
