Robert Vaihola - Non-factor in loss Vaihola registered one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 83-60 loss to Missouri.

Impact Vaihola was completely stymied against Missouri, and the forward just wasn't able to get anything going. Coming off a double-double against Alcorn State, he only attempted one shot from the floor -- which he missed -- and two free throws. Vaihola pulled down six boards but was invisible offensively, something the Gophers are going to need to change against tougher competition down the stretch.

Isaac Asuma - 13 points in loss Asuma accumulated 13 points (4-11 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 83-60 loss to Missouri.

Impact Asuma's 13 points were a season high, but they came on an inefficient 11 shots. After dishing out 12 assists in the Gophers' first two games, he was stymied as a facilitator with just two dimes against Missouri. This was the first real test for Minnesota, and the sophomore clearly still has some settling in to do.

Impact Grove struggled to make a big impact in his six minutes off the bench. He's not expected to handle a sizable role in the rotation, but at least, he should be able to see minutes with the second unit moving forward now that his injury is in the past.

Impact Crocker-Johnson wasn't all that efficient from the field, but he got to the charity stripe to make up for it and also pulled down 14 rebounds in the process with two blocks to boot. The 6-foot-8 forward controlled the paint for the Gophers, which is to be expected against an overmatched team such as Gardner-Webb. Minnesota will rely on the Colorado State transfer plenty this season.

Impact Tyson was something of an unknown quantity for the Gophers after he transferred over from North Carolina, playing in 31 games last season but averaging just 2.6 points across 7.9 minutes. In Minneapolis, however, Tyson now has a chance to be the main man like he was at Belmont, and he reminded us just how potent of a scorer he can be. He shot 49 percent from the field in both of his seasons at Belmont, including over 40 percent from distance in each year. If he can score like that in the Big Ten, look out.
