Impact Thiam dominated on the defensive end, rejecting five shots while adding 16 points on 70-percent shooting from the floor. It's the fourth time this season the freshman center has sent back at least five shots in a game. It's also the second time in three games Thiam has topped 15 points after not reaching that mark during any of his previous 14 appearances.

Impact Thiam made his return to action for UCF on Sunday after missing the team's previous game against Milwaukee with an ankle injury. The freshman center didn't miss a beat in his return, recording 11 points and a season-high seven rebounds along with three blocks in a game in which the Knights rode a dominant second half to a blowout win. Thiam has had a solid start to his freshman season, averaging 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game through six contests as the team's starting center. A week off should allow Thiam's ankle to fully recover before next Sunday's matchup against Tarleton State.

Impact Thiam posted his first double-digit scoring effort in just his second career game. The 7'2" freshman posted 13 points after having struggled offensively in his first game against Texas A&M though he was able to make his presence known defensively in that contest, redirecting six Aggie shots on the evening. Thiam has earned the starting center role early in the season for the Golden Knights and has already proven that he can impact the game on both ends of the court through his first two games.
