Impact The senior guard is set to miss extended time with left lower leg deep vein thrombosis, and it's unclear when he'll be able to return to the hardwood. Cam Scott, Arden Conyers and Zachary Davis are all expected to see more minutes with Stute sidelined.

Impact Stute only takes 5.5 shots each game, but he's now 0-for-6 from the field over the past two contests. The wing has now been held scoreless in two straight games, and considering he's only attempted four free throws all season, he's not going to be able to score when his shot isn't falling. South Carolina could certainly use a more assertive Stute moving forward.

Starting vs. Wooster Stute has been included in the starting rotation for Wednesday's exhibition match against Wooster, the team announced.

Impact The senior forward is a part of the starting five for the final exhibition match prior to the season-opener on Nov. 4. Stute averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists on 23.5 minutes across 27 appearances (17 starts) during the 2023-24 campaign.

Impact Stute was able to play 22 minutes Thursday despite his hip injury, but he did not get much going. While he tied a season-high with eight rebounds, he failed to hit a shot from the field and shot 60 percent on his five free throw attempts. With his season now over, Stute has one season of eligibility remaining.
