Doubtful vs. Villanova Alleyne (ankle) is doubtful for the Red Storm's game Wednesday against Villanova, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Considering news from about half a week ago stating that Alleyne would be out a while, there is both a surprising and unsurprising element to his updated status. If there was to be one for the Villanova game, doubtful would be Alleyne's tag. However, there being one at all gives a glimmer of hope that he will play, even though his availability is not to be expected.

Out for some time Alleyne suffered a "pretty bad" ankle sprain in St. Johns 73-72 loss to Marquette according to Rick Pitino and will be out for a while, Kevin Connelly of StormThePaint reports.

Impact Alleyne left the game in the first half and did not record any stats before his departure. The senior guard will be out for a while, but his exact time frame is not yet confirmed. He averages 6.9 points and 2.1 rebounds on 19.4 minutes per game.

Alleyne, a senior transfer from UConn, will look to make additional contributions against the Friars.
