Impact Nelson made a two-game appearance with the starting unit but will return to the bench following a pair of rather lackluster showings. The junior till has a decent chance to log double-digit minutes Saturday but doesn't have much fantasy appeal at this point.

Impact Nelson will make his first start of the season Saturday. The junior has slowly earned more playing time over the course of the season, and he's averaging 8.3 points and 2.1 points over 8.3 minutes per game.

Impact It's unclear what's going on with Nelson as the Gamecocks haven't played in nearly a month due to a string of games that were either postponed or canceled. He has reportedly made a full recovery and will be available for the first time this season as the Gamecocks begin conference play against Clemson. Head coach Chris Martin was very complimentary of Nelson's play in preseason practice so it's possible the junior could see some healthy minutes off the bench.
