Will Baker - Part of two-big system Baker started and logged 12 points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and eight rebounds across 18 minutes in Monday's 90-55 exhibition victory over Dominican (CA). Impact Baker was largely an afterthought at a Texas program known for getting top center recruits, so the four-star big was limited to just 8.3 mpg in 23 appearances back in 2019-20. After sitting out last season, Baker elected to transfer to Nevada, where it appears his game has progressed significantly. Also notable is that he'll be starting alongside a fellow seven-footer in Warren Washington, who averaged 10.0 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Wolf Pack last season. It's certainly a unique lineup strategy, but it should make Nevada a tough team to score down low on.
