ImpactCurbelo has made an impact for Illinois over his first two games as a freshman. He dished out six dimes in Wednesday's season opener, and he approached a double-double as he played 20 minutes against Chicago State. The 6-foot-1 guard has committed four turnovers in each of his first two collegiate games, but he could be in the mix for a role with the Illini during his freshman season.

ImpactFrazier was held in check during Wednesday's season opener, but he was more effective from beyond the arc in Thursday's win to help propel the Illini to their second straight win. The senior will look to improve on his 2019-20 season in which he averaged 9.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 30.5 minutes per game.

ImpactBosmans-Verdonk missed Wednesday's opener but appears to at least be drawing closer to his 2020-21 debut for the Illini. He averaged 6.4 minutes per contest in his nine appearances last season before a foot issue cropped up in mid-October and he wasn't seen on the floor again.
