Greg Gantt - Struggles in exhibition Gantt posted four points (2-4 FG), one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes during Wednesday's 107-59 win over McRae.

Impact Gantt made his return after missing the team's exhibition games in the Bahamas due to a left thumb sprain. The junior forward had three fouls and two turnovers in just 11 minutes Wednesday. Gantt should be good to go for Monday's season opener and figures to be a bench option at the forward position.

Ernest Ross - Defensive showcase in exhibition Ross tallied 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 107-59 exhibition win over Lees-McRae.

Impact Ross made his return Wednesday after undergoing season-ending surgery on his right ankle in January. As a freshman, he averaged 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.1 minutes across 14 games. Ross is in line to be a rotational forward off the bench this season.

Impact Smith had a team-high 26 points in the Bahamas and showed why he was one of the team's best scorers last season. In 2021-22, Smith's 16.3 points per game were only second to Dereon Seabron's 17.3 points, but he has since left the team to pursue professional opportunities. This leaves the point guard in a great position to take over as the team's top scorer in his sophomore year.
