Elliot Cadeau - 13 assists in exhibition game Cadeau dished out 13 assists to go along with 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT) and four rebounds in Tuesday's exhibition game win over Memphis.

Impact Cadeau had the ball in his hands more on Tuesday with RJ Davis out with a back injury. The sophomore showed why he is one of the best ball distributors in the ACC. He showed a good connection with Seth Trimble, who started in place of Davis and went off for 33 points. Cadeau also hit two three pointers, which is something coach Hubert Davis desperately needs to create more spacing in the offense. Last season many teams played so far off Cadeau because he only shot 19 percent from three-point range and stacked the paint. UNC opens the regular season on Nov. 4 against Elon.

Seth Trimble - Stars in exhibition game Trimble dropped a game-high 33 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT) in Tuesday's exhibition win over Memphis.

Impact With RJ Davis sitting out of this game with a back injury, Trimble put the team on his back and carried the load. He was certainly dynamic scoring the ball and clearly showed a lot of improvement in his game going into his junior season. Whether or not Trimble starts when Davis is healthy is another story, but certainly has made his case to coach Hubert Davis on why he deserves serious minutes this season. UNC begins their regular season on Monday against Elon.

Impact Davis' limitation is reportedly strictly precautionary. He's dealing with a back issue that flared up this offseason, but the star guard should be good to go once the regular season rolls around. Davis figures to be one of the top players in the country this season after averaging 21.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 2023-2024.
