Impresses off benchPlatek notched 11 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench during Monday's 78-51 win over UNLV.ImpactPlatek was one of four bench players that logged more than 10 minutes, but he made the most of his opportunity -- he paced all bench players in scoring and was one of four Tar Heels that topped the 10-point plateau. He is yet to start a game this season and all signs point to him having a bench role once again in his senior year, but he could be bound to deliver strong performances from time to time. He is expected to remain on the bench Tuesday at Stanford.
