Shereef Mitchell - Returns from one-game absenceMitchell ended Tuesday's 80-55 victory over North Dakota State with nine points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals across 17 minutes.

ImpactMitchell missed two games to begin the season due to a foot injury before appearing off the bench in the next four, culminating in a season-high 29 minutes Nov. 22 against Southern Illinois. The third-year guard was then forced to sit out against SIU Edwardsville due to undisclosed reasons, but he was back for a typical minutes workload Tuesday. Moving forward, Mitchell, along with Trey Alexander, should continue to function as the top two guards off the bench.

ImpactMitchell was able to go through pregame warmups and head coach Greg McDermott confirmed that Mitchell will be active and is going to try to "give it a go." It initially sounds like Mitchell may not be playing at 100 percent and it'll certainly be worth monitoring how many minutes he plays after missing action over the weekend against SIUE.
