Marcus Santos-Silva - Slides to bench in openerSantos-Silva provided 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and three steals over 16 minutes during Tuesday's 89-74 win over North Florida.
ImpactSantos-Silva was surprisingly moved to the bench in favor of transfers Kevin Obanor and Bryson Williams. Santos-Silva still ended up with a solid outing, but it is a bit concerning that the two newbies already took Santos-Silva's starting spot. This will likely take some more games to truly understand the frontcourt dynamic this season for Texas Tech.

Davion Warren - Effective in Red Raider debutWarren amassed 14 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and three steals in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 89-74 win over North Florida.
ImpactWarren got the start with Terrence Shannon out indefinitely. The Hampton transfer was very productive last season and picked up right where he left off in the opener. We will have to wait for Shannon's return to know for sure whether it will be Mylik Wilson or Warren that starts, but both should see a decent amount of minutes in the end.

Kevin Obanor - Puts up 17 points in team debutObanor closed Tuesday's 89-74 win over North Florida with 17 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and six rebounds over 23 minutes.
ImpactObanor and Bryce Williams got the start over Marcus Santos-Silva in the frontcourt, but the entire trio was very productive in the opener combining for 52 points and 17 rebounds. It's unclear how that rotation will shake out over the course of the season, but Obanor's versatility should give him the safest job security of the bunch. Grambling will be next up on Friday.

Bryson Williams - Game-high 22 points in victoryWilliams ended Tuesday's 89-74 win over North Florida with 22 points (9-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal over 18 minutes.
ImpactWilliams had an extremely efficient game in the opener. Texas Tech has a whole new look this season, especially in the frontcourt with Kevin Obanor transferring in as well. Marcus Santos-Silva shifted to the bench, but it will be interesting to see how that dynamic changes as we start to get a few more games under the belt. Texas Tech will face Grambling on Friday next.
