Posts double-double in lossCockburn generated 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-5 FT) and 11 rebounds over 32 minutes in Saturday's 87-81 loss to Ohio State.
ImpactCockburn has been on another level recently, putting up double-doubles in seven of the last eight games while shooting 74.2 percent from the field during that time. Even though he couldn't propel the Illini to the win Saturday, he's now averaging 19.5 points and 11.1 rebounds over 29.5 minutes per game across the past eight matchups.

Tops 20 points once againDosunmu recorded 22 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-10 FG), five assists, four rebounds and two steals over 35 minutes in Saturday's 87-81 loss to Ohio State.
ImpactDosunmu and Illinois had a layoff after their game against Nebraska was postponed, but the junior remained effective in his return to the court Saturday. Even with Trent Frazier (shoulder) returning to action against the Buckeyes, Dosunmu still saw plenty of playing time in the narrow loss. He's now averaging 22.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists over 34.6 minutes per game this year.

Puts up 11 points in winTowns tallied 11 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and one steal over 15 minutes in Saturday's 87-81 win over Illinois.
ImpactTowns' playing time has been inconsistent this year, but he's posted double-digit scoring totals in each of the games in which he's played at least 15 minutes. In his first season with Ohio State, he's averaging 5.1 points and 2.3 rebounds over 8.8 minutes per game.

Productive on scoreboardAhrens logged 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over 30 minutes in Saturday's 87-81 win over Illinois.
ImpactAhrens has been in the starting five during each of the past two contests, and he's put up double-digit scoring totals in each of those appearances. The junior has been quite inconsistent early in the season, but he appears to be getting into a rhythm on the scoreboard while he's been starting games for the Buckeyes.

Explodes for 26 pointsLiddell had 26 points (10-16 FG, 4-7 3PT, 2-4 FT) and seven rebounds as he led the Buckeyes to a 87-81 win over Illinois on Saturday.
ImpactDespite the size disadvantage, Liddell took Kofi Cockburn to school for a career-high 26 points as Cockburn was constantly caught sagging off him. The 6-7 sophomore is a Chicago native and was heavily recruited by head coach Brad Underwood but ultimately chose to go to the Buckeyes and had a statement game against his familiar foe. Saturday's outing was just the second instance in which Liddell crossed the 20 point mark but he's clearly shown he has the capabilities to score at will on any given night.
